Privacy Policy

Brier Street Games, a trade name of The DaesandO Group, Inc. ("we"), runs Ooh I Got It!! (oohigotit.com) and Wordbrier (wordbrier.com), including the Unbrier and Sumbrier word puzzles. One account works on both sites. This policy explains what we collect when you use either site and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address and name. When you sign in by email link we store the email address you enter.
• Game records. For each Ooh I Got It!! game: when it was played, your score, how many cards it took, and whether you used a Power Play. For each Unbrier puzzle you finish while signed in: the puzzle number, your chain of words, your score and when you finished. For each Sumbrier puzzle you finish while signed in: which puzzle, your time, how many checks and revealed letters you used, whether you asked for the answer, and when you finished.
• Notify list. If you ask to be told when the physical deck ships, we store your email address. Signing in also adds you to this list.
• Anonymous game statistics. We count how the game is used: which deck is chosen, games started and finished, rooms played, challenge links opened, share buttons clicked, and Unbrier and Sumbrier puzzles loaded and finished. To count visitors without tracking them, each record carries a code made from your IP address and browser with a random value that changes every day and is never stored. The code cannot be linked to your account or to your visits on other days. No cookie is used for this.
• Technical data. Our server and our hosting providers log your IP address and basic request details for security and to limit abuse. These logs are kept for a short period.

We do not collect payment details, and we do not show advertising.

How we use it

• To sign you in and keep you signed in (a cookie named bsg_session, valid 30 days).
• To enforce the daily free-game limit and show your saved results.
• To email you about the physical deck and the game. You can opt out with the link in any such email, or by writing to us.
• To see which decks and features people use, so we know what to build next.
• To keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers below.

Service providers

• Google (sign-in). Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
• Resend (sends our sign-in and notification emails).
• Cloudflare (network security and delivery, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies or personal profiles) and DreamHost (server hosting, United States).

Cookies

We use only cookies needed to run the games: bsg_session keeps you signed in and bsg_pid keeps your seat in a private room. No tracking or advertising cookies. Wordbrier also keeps your puzzle progress and stats in your browser's local storage, so reloading the page doesn't lose your game; that data stays on your device.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything linked to it. If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have these rights under the GDPR, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority. Email [email protected].

Children

The site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will update. Material changes will be announced on the site.
